Elon Musk shared that X Money, a new payments feature for the X platform, should reach users in a limited external beta within the next two months.
Musk shared the update during his company’s “All Hands” meeting on February 11. He noted that X Money is already in use within the company in a closed beta.
He described the feature as a central part of X’s plan to become an all-in-one app for communication, content, and financial activity.

He said the goal is to make X a place where users can manage most of their daily digital tasks, including payments.
Musk mentioned that X has around 1 billion installations, though about 600 million people use it monthly. He said that expanding features like messaging, Grok, and X Money should increase regular use.
Musk has pushed for payment features on X since buying Twitter in 2022. The idea also connects to his early work in 1999, when he co-founded X.com.
